Enter Overpeck County Park Amphitheater into your navigation app. Once you arrive, look for event parking signs for the main parking area which directly adjoins the amphitheater.
This is a large parking lot with 3 entrances. It will be easy to locate regardless of which way you enter the park.
FAQ
1. I don't plan to run — are there other activities?
Yes. In addition to the 5K run, there is a fun 1-mile walk, a Kids Dash, and a KidsZone complete with inflatables, face painting, games and more. Come cheer on your friends and family and enjoy a gourmet breakfast, our photo booth, and live entertainment from the Shnitzel Guys.
2. How can my sponsors submit payment?
Online contributions can be made by credit card on your personal page on this website — just tell your sponsors to choose your name from the list of runners. Checks can be made out to Yad Leah and mailed to: Yad Leah, 362 South Parkway, Clifton, NJ 07014. Please indicate which runner you are sponsoring.
3. I'm worried I won't be able to raise any money. Can I do it?
Don't worry. Even if you've never raised money before, collecting sponsorships from friends, family, colleagues and neighbors is fun and meaningful. Our site has plenty of information and guidance to help you get started.
4. Is the Dash only for runners?
No. The Dash for Dignity is designed as a family fun day for all ages, levels and abilities. Run the 5K, stroll the one mile, join the family activities, or just come and cheer. Alongside the races there is a gourmet breakfast and lots of activities, including a kids zone for young children and live entertainment for all ages. Runners enjoy additional benefits: precision race-recording, free tee-shirts, medals for the top three finishers in each age category, and T-shirts, race bibs and prizes for the Kids Dash.
5. Should I run alone or as a team?
Either. Participants can run alone or create a team and take on a Grand Prix route through a relatively flat course in a beautiful park. Gifts will be awarded to the teams that raise the most funds.
6. I have never run a race. Will I be able to finish the 5K?
It might take a little training and coaching, but many of our participants are first-time runners. Try it out, or opt for the 1-mile family walk instead — strollers are welcome. Not in the mood for a walk? Join our family fun activities and fitness challenges, or come cheer on your family and friends.
7. Will there be food available?
You bet. Your entry includes a gourmet breakfast with bagels, fruit, coffee and more. All participants in any of the day's activities are invited to join us.
