No. The Dash for Dignity is designed as a family fun day for all ages, levels and abilities. Run the 5K, stroll the one mile, join the family activities, or just come and cheer. Alongside the races there is a gourmet breakfast and lots of activities, including a kids zone for young children and live entertainment for all ages. Runners enjoy additional benefits: pre-race stretches and warm-ups led by professional fitness staff, a post-race cool down class, precision race-recording, free tee-shirts, medals for the top three finishers in each age category, and ribbons for children under 8.
Either. Participants can run alone or create a team and take on a USATF-certified Grand Prix route through a relatively flat course in a beautiful park. Gifts will be awarded to the teams that raise the most funds.
It might take a little training and coaching, but many of our participants are first-time runners. Try it out, or opt for the 1-mile family walk instead — strollers are welcome. Not in the mood for a walk? Join our family fun activities and fitness challenges, or come cheer on your family and friends.
Yes. If a donation was made accidentally or for the wrong amount, let us know and we'll be happy to make any necessary refunds, changes or corrections. The race is rain or shine, and registration fees are not refundable.
You bet. Your entry includes a gourmet breakfast with bagels, fruit, coffee and more. All participants in any of the day's activities are invited to join us.
Of course — that's what we do best. Please bring your gently used clothing in tied-up bags to the specially marked clothing donation area. We accept clothing in excellent condition, including children's, women's and men's clothing, as well as shoes, outerwear, linens, towels, tablecloths, handbags and pocketbooks.
Parking is available all morning, with intermittent closures before each race, so please allow ample time for parking and registration. Bathrooms are available in and around the park for your convenience.
